PEOP, or protected eco-origin products, are eco-friendly products with good qualities of origin, in accord with green, environmental protection, low-carbon, energy-saving and resource-saving requirements.

Evaluation agency management standards
➢ Field Evaluation
Evaluation agencies approved by CIQA is responsible for organizing and send evaluation group to the origin to examine and evaluate the origin and whether the production and processing is true and corresponds to the standards.
➢ Product Evaluation
CIQA will organize expert panel to evaluate the materials submitted by evaluation agencies. According to the evaluation result from expert panel, the eco-origin products will be approved and listed on the official website of CIQA and PEOP for public notification.
➢ Certificate and Logo Use
If there is no objection during the public notification period, CIQA will issue certificate to applicants and authorize the use of PEOP logo.

China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association（CIQA）
PEOP certification is managed by China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA), a nationwide non-profit organization founded in 1990. With the guidance and support of SAMR and GACC, CIQA focuses on the development of service and innovation, and provides good service to our members, global enterprises, governments and the whole society.
CIQA attaches great importance to international cooperation and has signed MOU with embassies, organizations and agencies from more than 40 countries including the USA, France, Germany, Canada, Australia etc.
CIQA keeps good relation with such international organizations as UNIDO, UNAIDS, ILO, WHO etc., and undertakes the food safety supply chain promotion project from the World Bank.
